Umami butter

A rich and flavorful butter that enhances seafood, vegetables, and grilled dishes. The deep umami taste from The Coastal Origin refined umami powder combined with fresh lemon zest creates a balanced and aromatic finishing butter inspired by the Norwegian coast

Ingredients

  • 100 g room-temperature organic butter (for example from Røros, 1% sea salt)

  • 1–2 pinches Kystens Urkraft refined

  • Finely grated zest of ½ organic lemon

Method

  • Stir the butter until soft. Mix in the Havdryss and lemon zest until smooth and evenly combined

Perfect with grilled fish such as monkfish, wolffish, or hake, as well as scallops. Also delicious on fresh bread, potatoes, vegetables, or on a juicy steak.
